Pokemon Go has taken the world by storm. The Augmented Reality mobile game developed by Niantic, Inc and published by the Pokemon Company, has gained tremendous popularity all over the world.

Pokémon Go has become a massive global phenomenon. Gamers have descended on parks, houses and street corners in search of the virtual creatures generated by the augmented-reality hit. The number of daily active users is record-high and it has surpassed even popular apps like WhatsApp, Instagram, and Tinder. The number of downloads so far is beyond 10 million and is constantly growing.

Like everywhere else in the world, Pokemon Go communities are on the rise in Kosovo and elsewhere in the Balkans. There are Facebook Groups and other forms of meet-ups that gather people interested in the world phenomenon.

We often arrange meetings in different parts of the city where we also stumble upon other players who pass by, we socialize, laugh and generally have a great time discussing matters related to the game. It is a true revolution for us who have grown up playing the console games.”

There are however more radical telecom providers like T-Mobile in the US, which has decided to give its customers free Pokemon Go Data. Starting on July 19th, T-Mobile customers will have Pokémon Go data exempted from their high-speed data caps for a year, they announced in an official statement.

Although it hasn’t launched officially yet for Kosovo, you can download Pokemon Go for free on both iOS and Android.
