Finnish accelerator Startup Sauna rocked Prishtina
Startup Sauna was present in Prishtina for the first time this Tuesday 24 March 2015, where Kosovo startups were present and receivedÂ feedback and advice from coaches, who are experienced serial entrepreneurs and investors.
By impressing the coaches, attending startups have the opportunity to be shortlisted for the Startup Sauna acceleration program held during May 2015 in Helsinki, Finland.
Through a tight application process, a small batch of startups were selected toÂ theÂ one-day coaching event.Â Startups that participateÂ are not necessarily interested in the Accelerator program, but organizers claim that their participation in this training can certainly pay off, and the responsible organizer for Kosovo, was Kushtrim Xhakli, a known entrepreneur and a known face for the startupÂ scene of Kosovo.Â
The local duoÂ Trigonom and Goodwerp, were selected as top performers was selected Startup Sauna, which means that they will get a chance for Â a one month acceleration program in May 2015 in Helsinki. Other startups included BBros, PrimeDB, Tollomed, etc.

Jan-Erik is a managing partner and co-founder of Helsinki Ventures, a startup accelerator focused in digital innovation in Russia and East Europe. During his 15+ years in startup business, Jan-Erik has experience as entrepreneur, accelerator and early stage angel investor, including advisor and director seats in promising startups. Having lead innovative teams in professional services, technology, UX and marketing communication, Jan-Erik loves disruptive ideas, creativity and uncompromising execution
Juha has vast experience from technology, social media and business and corporate development. He has been immersed past 15 years in growth businesses with hands-on operating experience as well as numerous start-up advisory projects. Juha has worked among others for RealNetworks, Mr.Goodliving and Goldman Sachs. His latest curiosity is in digital health and wellbeing services.
Mika has founded and managed high-growth Internet agencies (Spray Interactiv, Razorfish) and technology start-ups (G-cluster). His companies have pioneered technologies such as mobile services, mobile payments and games-on-demand. He currently advises and consults businesses and government initiatives in the Nordic and Baltic region.
