Cabling for Audi, Volkswagen and others to be produced in Albania


Nexans autoelectric, a German-Company specialized in developing and producing cabling systems and electromechanical components for leading automotive and system manufacturers worldwide, including Mercedes-Benz, Volkswagen, Audi, General Motors and the likes, is about to open a factory in the city of Korça in Albania, to employe close to 1,000 people.

The company, which employs over 9,500 people at 23 locations around the world, is expected to expand it’s operations in the city of Korça in Albania, at a abandoned factory left-over from the dictatorship age, known as ex-UMB. Nearby operates the business incubator of Korça.

The news was annouced on the official Facebook channel of the Municipality of Korça, confirming the agreement and announcing close to 1,000 new jobs.
